jack russel terrier with other pets? possible?
ok, i was thinking about geting a dog and i seen a jack rusel for sale. i think they are really cute so i researched them i heard that they are hunt dogs and stuff. the problem is, i have hamsters. they are in there cages up high and stuff but i also heard jack russels like to climb. i would have to probebly have to get lids for the cages, but do you think i could train the dog no to bother them? would the smell other the dog? please help! i will be apreciated.
jack russells do climb. my girl can get halfway up a tree before I can count to two. they are hunting dogs and do think of smaller rodents as prey. (every squirrel in my neighbourhood is terrified of my jack) i would not want to mix hamsters with my jack russell. that said, not every jack is the same. it could be possible to teach them to co-exist. how much time and patience do you have?
