Do I need puppy training pads?
Okay, so while im out im thinking of putting pads down for my puppy to housetrain her. Is it a good idea?
Out for how long? All day at work? or school? The best way to train your puppy is to make sure they go out side before you leave. And take them out when you come home. In the mean time while you are gone put the pup in an area where he can play sleep or whatever without running around in the house put down paper or pads in the area. This is only for when you are gone. You can crate him or put him in a large playpen. But teach him to go outside. Teach him while you are home he has run of the house and take him out about every two hours and right before bed. then first thing in the morning. Then put him in the pen when you leave. And only when you leave. When he stops going on the pads then you won’t have to pen him up. If he goes in the house after you come home scold him show him what he did and put him out side. Don’t take him for a walk take him out wait in one spot to go pee praise him when he goes. Always praise him highly for anything he does right.
