What is a good non-shedding dog breed?
I’m thinking about buying a dog and I want a dog that is non-shedding or barely sheds at all. Are there any long-haired dog breeds that don’t shed? And what about large dog breeds?
First there is no such thing as a non-shedding breed but there are breeds that shed less noticeably.
These include
Most wire haired breeds (such as Border terriers, schnauzers, etc)
Most Curly Coated Breeds (Poodle, Portuguese Water Dogs, etc)
These breeds all require some type of grooming. Whether it is stripping the coat or shaping it.
As far as large breeds go there is the Giant Schnauzer and the Standard Poodle, as well as a couple others.
Breeds without hair will still have Dander.
