I asked the question about pad training – How do you crate/kennel train? What is it?
To those who answered my question about the puppy pads – What exactly is crate/kennel training, and how do you teach it?
The only reason we resorted to the puppy training pads is because they are just puppies, and we thought maybe if they would learn to go on the pads, we wouldn’t come home and have poop and pee all over the house, ya know? I can’t really take them out when I’m not here. And then the pups pee and poop during the night, every morning I have little messes to clean up, so how do I get them NOT to go in the house while we’re all supposed to be sleeping?
I know this sounds completely lame to some of you, but there are a LOT of stray dogs and cats around here, and the vet had us so freaked out about the dogs constantly getting worms from stepping in other dogs poo that I thought I was doing a good thing by training them to go in one spot inside LOL We have a wood fence, but these bigger dogs in the neighborhood get under it somehow, so I’m worried about the pups!
