can anyone please recommend me a good dog training book?
i want to buy a book that really describes well how to train from the puppyhood. with a lot of pictures if there is………..please~
I firmly believe that before you can be a good dog trainer you NEED to understand the way dogs think and communicate. I would start off by reading Patricia McConnell’s “The other end of the leash” or Stanley Cowen’s “The way dogs think”. Next I would read any pamphlet or book by Patricia McConnell or Brenda Aloff. Brenda actually has a puppy training DVD available on Amazon – it’s wonderful! Good luck, I know it’s hard work but once you understand dogs you will be a much better owner and trainer!
