Book Dog Obedience Training

book dog obedience training
For those of you involved in clicker training and dog sports?

Which book have you found the most helpful? I’ve been scrolling through amazon.com to find good books on clicker training, agility, and obedience. Are there any that you recommend? The following are some I’ve been looking at. Of the first two, which do you like better?

“Clicker Training for Obedience”- Morgan Spector
“Click for Joy!”- Karen Pryor
“Introduction to Dog Agility”- Margaret Bonham

My dog is a 1 yr. old Corgi who knows basic obedience. I’ve done some clicker training with her, but I’m interested in learning more about it and using it as my primary training tool for obedience and agility (which she doesn’t know yet but I plan on getting her started in it).

if I may, check out my book Click Your Way to Rally Obedience. That will get you most of the way through comeptition obedience as well. You can get it driect from the publisher www.alpinepub.com or from www.dogwise.com

Training for competition using the clicker is quite easy – knowing exactly what to click is a little harder
